Important Note:

Older homes often contain asbestos containing vermiculite that needs to be addressed prior to any disturbance or removal to any fixture, lath & plaster or Sheetrock on the ceiling in compliance with Spokane Regional Clean Air Authority. Removal requires proper containment, negative air filtration, decontamination and removal procedure to prevent contamination of the living space. If your contractor isn’t providing documentation that the home is free of vermiculite you could be liable or endangering the tenants.
