Our History

Before Pacific Insulation existed, I did some research. I picked up the phone and called eight insulation companies in Spokane, just to find out what a homeowner's first experience with a contractor actually felt like.

Five never answered. Two asked how big my attic was and quoted a price over the phone without ever seeing it. One wanted to schedule an appointment.

That was the whole business plan, really. If seven out of eight companies couldn't manage a returned phone call and a real conversation, there was room for someone who could.

Fourteen years and thousands of conversations later, I've learned that being a good contractor in Spokane comes down to one thing: you do what you say you're going to do. That's the floor. We've built everything else on top of it.

Here's why it matters to me. When I think about what my own home means to my family and me, it's the most important place we have. It's where we build traditions, where memories get made, where everything important seems to start. So when we walk into someone else's home, we're stepping into that same thing for them. The experience should feel warm — not transactional, not rushed, not like an inconvenience you have to survive.

Most people will buy insulation or mold remediation once or twice in their entire life. They shouldn't have to become experts to avoid getting taken advantage of. Our job is to make that purchase feel safe and clear from the first phone call to the final walkthrough.

I tell the guys who come to us from other companies the same thing on day one: there's no such thing as being in the green or in the red on a job. You take as long as it takes to make the customer happy. We do insulation, vermiculite, and mold work — but the actual goal is to change how people think about what it's like to hire a contractor.

Comprehensive Inspections

Our inspections go far beyond a quick glance. We perform detailed assessments using advanced FLIR thermal imaging cameras, moisture meters, and air-quality sampling to identify issues behind walls, in attics, or under floors. Whether you’re dealing with high humidity, musty odors, or unexplained water stains, we find the source.
We provide clear, photo-documented reports outlining moisture intrusion, ventilation problems, insulation gaps, and potential mold growth. Our goal is to educate homeowners with accurate information so you can make confident decisions about your property.

Attic Insulation Upgrades

A properly insulated attic is one of the best investments for home comfort and energy savings. We specialize in installing blown-in cellulose and fiberglass insulation that meets or exceeds Avista rebate standards. Before installing new insulation, we air-seal leaks around light fixtures, ducts, and vents, and install baffles to ensure proper airflow from soffit vents to ridge vents.
We also replace or re-route bathroom and kitchen fans that exhaust into attics, a common cause of hidden moisture and mold. As an Avista Trade Ally Contractor, we help customers qualify for generous rebates—often covering a large portion of the upgrade cost. The result is a home that’s warmer in winter, cooler in summer, and far more efficient year-round.

Mold Remediation & Moisture Control

If mold is found, we handle remediation from start to finish. Our certified technicians safely remove contaminated materials, clean surfaces with EPA-approved products, and use HEPA filtration to capture airborne spores. We also identify and correct the underlying causes—like roof leaks, poor ventilation, or unsealed penetrations—to prevent future growth.
We offer attic, crawl space, and interior mold removal, as well as post-remediation verification and optional lab testing to confirm the problem is fully resolved.
